DR DAS Air Quality Monitoring

Air quality monitoring networks are transitioning from centralized polling using modems to simultaneous submission of data from all stations using TCP/IP-enabled networks. The advanced data acquisition devices and air quality data management center software from DR DAS provide support for both old and new network schema. This allows you to easily transition to the next generation of air monitoring networks. Our data acquisition, communications and data management system components easily plug into existing operating networks to collect air monitoring network data and provide remote control of monitoring equipment using TCP/IP, the Internet and XML, in addition to modems. Data-centric web sites and XML data exchange processes are included in our "open architecture" air monitoring networks.

Upgrade to Advanced Station Data Acquisition

The EnvidasFW advanced air monitoring station data aqcuisition device replaces the typical limited capability A/D "Data Logger". Simply install EnvidasFW on non proprietary PC architecture hardware and specify it to communicate using the communications protocol of the old device. The existing central communications software wiil not know the difference. Now you can upgrade to advanced data acquisition using digital instrument interfaces for more precise readings, data validation and intrument diagnostics.

Implement Open Architecture Central Data Collection, Mangement and Exchange

DR DAS's Open Environmental Data Management Software supports polling of all common air monitoring data loggers. There is no need to change station equipment to achieve a major improvement in data collection, online QA, data analysis and information exchange processes.

Only DR DAS allows you to transition your monitoring operations in logical steps consistent with budget constraints. Over a few years you can fully transition to an XML/Internet based data collection scheme. You will be able to receive data from many sites simultaneously, even if you never equip stations with broadband connectivity. All you need is the existing phone line.

Key advantages to the DR DAS Open AQM approach are:

  • Faster, lower cost communications with remote monitoring sites
  • Event-driven emergency data publication by remote sites
  • Real-time data quality review
  • Data exchange using XML documents
